First, it’s helpful to know that at age 28 I took the helm of my family’s 100-year-old, $120 million business, which was just six months from bankruptcy! After a difficult start to my leadership career – and lots of mistakes – I hired a business turnaround specialist named Frank. With Frank’s guidance, I was able to clearly define my role as a leader, forge a culture with high-performing A-Players, and implement strategies to achieve sustainable growth and skyrocketing profitability.
I led the business as CEO for 10 years before selling it in a highly profitable sale and, subsequently, focusing on other business ventures. In short, we’ll draw on my three decades of direct experience as a successful CEO.
